The Yorkie became a fashionable pet in the late victorian era in Yorkshire, England. They were crossed with local types such as long-haired Leeds Terrier.
Yorkshire Terrier made their appearance at the United States in the early 1870 and it became very famous toy breed. This is said to be breed from the Manchester Terrier, Maltese, Paisley, Skye Terrier and Clydesdale Terrier.
In 1872 first Yorkshire was born at America by 1880 they got changes in size of the
dog breed from 7 to 14 pounds. This is very smallest dog in the world and should not exceed its 7 lbs weight.

Yorkshire Terrier had small head with a top that is nearly flat and they have dark sparkling eyes. Its ears are v-shaped that are carried erect and the hair across the body is comparatively long and straight. They had short back and a level back lines.
