Pomeranian is a compact, short-backed, active toy
dog. It is a tiny, fluffy dog with a wedge-shaped head and pointed erect ears. Its eyes are bright, dark, and almond-shaped with an intelligent expression. The nose is either dark or the color of its coat. Longer hair is present on the chest, legs, and tail. Tail is curled over back. It has a rounded, cobby body, fox-like expression and a signature ruff of hair around its neck.
Pomeranian has a double coat. The undercoat is soft and dense. The outer coat is long, straight, glistening and harsh in texture. The coat is abundant from the neck and fore part of shoulders and chest, forming a frill and extends over the shoulders and chest. The coat is in white, black, brown, and reddish brown in colors. It is sound in composition and action.
