Old English Sheepdog was developed in England's west country by farmers because they need agile cattle driver and sheep herder to take their animals to the market. This was created for both herd and protect sheep. By 19th century this dog breed was widely used in agricultural areas and sometimes it was called as “Bobtail”.
This breed was first shown at Britain in 1973.
Old English Sheepdog is a Teddy Bear of dog and it is large and somewhat lumbering breed. They are best known for their shaggy grey and white fur that which covers its face and eyes. The English Kennel club was introduced this
dog breed in 1970 and this is a beautiful tempered dog it enjoy its life in country as well as in city.

Old English Sheepdog can not have any skin problems. This breed is seasonally heavy sheeder mainly in spring. They are developed for hard work and good runners.
