Bull Terrier is a cross between the Bulldog and the Old English Terrier with a bit of Spanish Pointer in his bloodline. This dog breed is originated in 1830 to attack bull in the sport of combat. It has been used as a guard dog, a ratter, a herder and a watchdog. The Miniature was developed to have the same qualities in a breed and more manageable size.
They were replaced soon in 1850 with the White Cavalier and they are used for many different things. These were rated as the third most suitable breed in war time achievements. First
Bull Terrier club was introduced at England in 1887. In 1992 AKC was introduced two sizes such as Miniature and Standard Bull Terrier.
Bull Terrier eyes are small, dark, almond-shaped and closely set. Its most distinctive feature is its head which is almost flat at the top and sloping down to the end of the nose with no stop.
Bull Terrier are short and well muscled it consists of both characters of Bulldog and the personality of a Terrier.
It has short, dense coat that comes in black, pure white, brindle, red and tri-color.
Bull Terrier will do okay in apartment if they are sufficiently trained and they prefer warm climates. This had one tendency that it will be overweight and lazy if it is not properly exercised.
Bull Terrier should be lead in public at all times because they will fight with other dogs.
Bull Terriers are easy to groom and it is an average shedder, this should be shed twice a year. A ball of fire, this dog requires quite a bit of exercise to stay active and healthy. Bull
Terriers are also known for their playfulness and affection. An occasional combing and brushing is required, and loose hair should be removed daily with special rubber glove.
