Beauceron is of a type known for centuries in Western Europe and may be it is a part of the Doberman's ancestry. In France, the
Beauceron has a long history and earliest record of Beauceron dates back to a Renaissance manuscript of 1578.
Pierre Megnin differentiated two types of sheep dogs in 1863, one with a short coat, the Berger de Beuce, or Beauceron and the other with a long coat - the Berger de Brie or Briard. This
dog breed is also named as Bas Rouge because of the markings on their legs. The Beauceron can compete for Obedience and Beauty titles within NKC, UKC, APRI, ACR, APRI organizations.

The structure of Beauceron
dog is almost similar to the Belgian Malinois. The coat tough, smooth and short. Two coat colors are required, one is lozenges above the eyes, two tan spots on the breast, tan on the bottom of the upper lip and throat, a tan marking in the shape of a lyre under his tail and tan on the bottom of each leg.
The ears are erect and generally cropped which should be half-pricked with one-third of the ear erect. The
Beauceron eyes are horse chestnut color with a proud, dark and serious expression.

Mostly the beauceron available in solid blue and tan or red and sandy colors.

The dogs height varies from 25-28 inches.

beauceron dog lives 11-15 years.

The Beauceron is a faithful, brave and highly intelligent dog. It is highly suitable for guard dogs and very protective. These dogs are obedient, loyal, very calm and looks very happy when they are working in the wider space.
In this
breed puppies are very active but in mature stage they become scilent. Competitively unsuccessful when compare to the other breeds. Indoors they are moderately active and suitable for apartment when properly trained. In large yard they do best of their work.
Beauceron as a Pet
The Beauceron is compatible with family and other animals. Proper training makes Beauceron as with good aptitude and understanding the owner desires quickly. Generally they are good with children if they are grownup along with the puppy hood and also to the family members. The Beauceron must be socialized properly. As a
family pet it is very healthy and hardy breed.
