The Bearded collie came from the Polish sheepdog which was first introduced in 1514 at Scotland by Polish sea captain. At that time
Bearded collie was used as a herder of both cattle and sheep. And bearded collie named as a 'Highland sheepdog', or 'Highland Collie' and the 'Hairy moved Collie'. The word 'Collie' was derived from the Scottish word “colley” or “coaley” for herding dog.
The talents of this
dog breed is agility, competitive obedience, herding, tracking and performing tricks. In 1976 it was recognized by American Kennel club(AKC). The Great Britain started transportation of this breed in 1960. It is also recognized by UKC, KCGB, ANKC, ACR, NKC and APRI.
The Bearded Collie is a medium sized
dog, fancier and agile. The coat is shaggy covers all over the body and under the chin. The under coat is thick and soft. The outer coat is waterproof, long and dense. During the life time the color of the coat changes several times.
Bearded Collie has a large teeth and head. The eyes color is harmonious with its coat color and wide. The tail is long and carried unless. The ears lies close the head. Generally the puppies are born blue, fawn, black and brown. The litter size is on average 7 puppies. The other name of

The tendency of barking is high but it starts barking while strangers are present otherwise they don't like to bark. This breed is not suitable for indoors and It does best with a medium sized yard. Particularly they prefers outdoor environment.
